With lots of handicrafts, regional products and living tradition, the Berchtesgaden Advent attracts its visitors. The royal castle and the historic town houses form an idyllic setting for the approximately 50 lovingly decorated Advent huts. Enjoy here atmospheric, Advent hours in historical flair.
Christmas atmosphere
The Berchtesgaden Advent takes place directly in the historic center of Berchtesgaden. Our visitors have the opportunity here between lovingly decorated Advent huts to visit the surrounding inns and restaurants, as well as the numerous regional stores and spend Advent hours.
Historic town center
The mighty Watzmann mountain towers above the town houses, the collegiate church and the royal castle and watches over the Berchtesgaden Advent. But not only the imposing mountain scenery, but also the traditional customs, traditional craftsmanship and alpine folk music characterize the Berchtesgaden Advent and make it so unique in Bavaria.
Children's Advent
The little ones’ eyes light up in the painting workshop. Here the children can emulate the painters of Berchtesgaden craftsmanship under artistic supervision. The nostalgic carousel and the mini train make the children shine. Always great fun is the Christmas tree maze at the Schlossplatz with more than 300 Christmas trees.
